Nancy Allen is an American actress who played Chris Hargensen in Brian De Palma's film Carrie (1976). She appeared in several of De Palma's films during the late 1970s and early 1980s, including the comedy I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978) and the thriller Dressed to Kill (1980), which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Allen also starred in Steven Spielberg's 1941 (1979) and portrayed Anne Lewis in Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop (1987), a character she reprised in its sequels. After stepping back from acting in 2008, she became the executive director of the weSPARK Cancer Support Center in Los Angeles, an organization founded by her late friend Wendie Jo Sperber.
