Morris Chestnut is an American actor who made his feature film debut as Ricky Baker in Boyz n the Hood (1991). He gained prominence with roles in films such as The Best Man (1999) and Like Mike (2002). Chestnut has appeared in several notable films including Ladder 49 (2004), The Game Plan (2007), and Identity Thief (2013). He also starred as Ryan Nichols in the TV series V (2009) and received NAACP Image Award nominations for his performances in The Best Man and Rosewood. In 2014, he won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in Nurse Jackie.
