Moon Sung-keun is a South Korean actor who made his film debut in Black Republic (1990). He has received multiple accolades, including three Blue Dragon Film Awards and two Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Actor. His notable film credits include Hwayi: A Monster Boy (2013), 1987: When the Day Comes (2017), and Memories of the Sword (2015). In addition to his acting career, Moon has been involved in politics, serving as the temporary chairman of the Democratic United Party in 2012. He frequently collaborates with director Lee Chang-dong, having appeared in four of his films, including Burning (2018).
