Mona Hammond is a Jamaican-British actress of Chinese descent and co-founder of the Talawa Theatre Company. She emigrated to the United Kingdom in 1959 and has since built a notable career in both theatre and television. Hammond played Blossom Jackson in the BBC soap opera EastEnders and appeared in the film 10,000 BC (2008). Hammond was awarded an OBE.
