Molly Shannon is an American actress and comedian who was a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2001. She gained recognition for her performance as Joanne Mulcahey in the film Other People (2016), for which she received the Film Independent Spirit Award. Shannon has appeared in various films, including My Boss's Daughter (2003), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), and the animated series Hotel Transylvania (2012) and its sequels. Her television credits include roles in Enlightened (2013) and The White Lotus (2021).
