Miranda Otto is an Australian actress who gained prominence for her portrayal of Éowyn in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, starting with The Two Towers in 2002. She made her film debut in Emma's War (1986) and later appeared in notable films such as Love Serenade (1996), The Thin Red Line (1998), and War of the Worlds (2005). Otto has also starred in the horror prequel Annabelle: Creation (2017) and the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018-2020). Her performance in The Lord of the Rings earned her a nomination from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films for Best Supporting Actress.
