Miranda Cosgrove is an American actress who made her film debut as Summer Hathaway in School of Rock (2003). She gained widespread recognition for her role as Carly Shay on the Nickelodeon series iCarly, which aired from 2007 to 2012. Cosgrove also voiced Margo in the animated feature Despicable Me (2010) and reprised her role in the sequel released in 2013. Her television career includes significant roles in Drake & Josh and the NBC sitcom Crowded. In addition to her acting, she has been acknowledged as one of the highest-paid child actresses, earning $180,000 per episode during her time on iCarly. Cosgrove will appear in Despicable Me 4 (2024).
