Mickey Rourke is an American actor and former boxer who portrayed Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in The Wrestler (2008). He gained prominence in the 1980s with significant roles in films such as Rumble Fish (1983) and 9½ Weeks (1986), receiving acclaim for his performance in Angel Heart (1987). After a hiatus from acting to pursue a boxing career, Rourke returned to film with notable performances in The Rainmaker (1997) and The Pledge (2001).
