Michael Palin is an English comedian and actor who was a member of the comedy group Monty Python. He co-wrote much of his comedic work with Terry Jones, including classic sketches like "Argument Clinic" and "Dead Parrot." Palin's film career includes notable roles in "A Fish Called Wanda" (1988), for which he received a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, and he has collaborated with director Terry Gilliam on several projects. Beyond acting, he has gained recognition as a travel writer and documentarian, exploring diverse locations such as the Sahara and the Himalayas. In 2000, he was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).
