Michael Nyqvist is a Swedish actor who gained international recognition for his portrayal of Mikael Blomkvist in the Millennium series. He studied at the School of Drama in Malmö and first garnered attention for his role as police officer Banck in the Martin Beck films in 1997. Nyqvist appeared in notable films such as Grabben i graven bredvid (2002), As It Is in Heaven (2004), Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), and John Wick (2014). He also starred in A Hidden Life (2019) and I.T. (2016). Nyqvist played the role of Viggo Tarasov in John Wick.
