Michael Ian Black is an American comedian, actor, writer, and director who starred in the TV series The State. He appeared in Take Me Home Tonight (2011) and Sextuplets (2019). Black played roles in Ed, Viva Variety, and Stella. He is a notable poker player and participated in Celebrity Poker Showdown. He authored a children's book titled Chicken Cheeks, published in 2009. Black changed his name from Schwartz to avoid confusion with another actor.
