Michael Goodliffe was an English actor who played Thomas Andrews in A Night to Remember (1958). He began his career in repertory theatre in Liverpool before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company. Goodliffe served as a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment during World War II, where he was captured at Dunkirk and spent the war as a prisoner in Germany. While in captivity, he produced and performed various plays, including two versions of Hamlet. After the war, he continued acting in film and television, with notable roles in The Wooden Horse (1950) and the series Sam (1973–75). Goodliffe's last performance was in a revival of Equus shortly before his tragic death in 1976.
