Michael Chiklis is an American actor who portrayed LAPD Detective Vic Mackey on the FX series The Shield (2002–2008). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2002 for this role. Chiklis has also played notable characters such as Commissioner Tony Scali in The Commish (1991–1996) and The Thing in the Fantastic Four films (2005–2007). His film credits include George Callister in Eagle Eye (2008) and Father Dave in Hubie Halloween (2020). In addition to his extensive television work, he appeared in Don't Look Up (2021).
