Michael Brandon is an American actor who played James Dempsey in the British drama series Dempsey and Makepeace (1985–1986). He has also lent his voice to the American dub of the children's series Thomas & Friends from 2004 to 2012. His stage work includes the original Broadway production of Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? (1969) and the West End production of Jerry Springer: The Opera (2003–2004). In addition to his television and theatre roles, he appeared in The Detonator (2006).
