Merab Ninidze is a Georgian actor who portrayed Oleg Penkovsky in The Courier (2020). He grew up in an artistic family and began acting at a young age, landing the role of Prince Edward in Shakespeare's Richard III at the Rustaveli State Academic Theatre in Tbilisi when he was just 13. His film career took off with a significant role in Tengiz Abuladze's Repentance (1984). After immigrating from Georgia at 25 due to the Civil War, he worked in various international film and television projects. His recent works include Giulio Sabbadin in Conclave (2024) and Walter Redlich in Nowhere in Africa.
