Melanie Griffith is an American actress who gained prominence for her role as a pornographic actress in Body Double (1984). She began her career in the 1970s with independent thriller films, making her debut in Night Moves (1975) alongside Gene Hackman. Griffith achieved mainstream success with her performance in Working Girl (1988), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress and a Golden Globe win.
