Mehcad Brooks is an American actor who portrayed NYPD Detective Jalen Shaw in NBC's Law & Order (2022-). His notable television roles include James "Jimmy" Olsen / Guardian in Supergirl, Terrance "TK" King in Necessary Roughness (2011-2013), and "Eggs" Benedict Talley in True Blood. He also appeared as Jerome in The Game and Matthew Applewhite in the second season of Desperate Housewives. In addition to his television work, Brooks starred in A Fall from Grace (2020) and will appear in Mortal Kombat II (2026).
