Megumi Okina is a Japanese actress who starred as Megumi Tanaka in the horror film Shutter (2008). She began her career as a J-Pop singer, making her debut on August 19, 1995. Okina gained recognition for her role in the Japanese original of The Grudge. She was previously married to Susumu Fujita from January 2004 until their divorce in July 2005. She appeared in Shutter, a remake of a 2004 Thai film, despite announcing her retirement from the entertainment industry in 2007. Okina announced her pregnancy in March 2009 and planned to marry her boyfriend, a businessman, shortly thereafter.
