Max Elliott Slade is an American actor who starred in the film 3 Ninjas (1992). He appeared as Jay Lovell in Apollo 13 (1995) and also played young Mark Goddard in The Sweeper (1996) and young Gil Buckman in Parenthood (1989). Slade co-founded a rock and roll club during his time at Pasadena High School and has a background in martial arts, earning a brown belt in Gosoku-ryu karate by age 11. He holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Southern California. Slade is also a musician, performing in a band called Haden.
