Mauricio Kuri is a Mexican film director who made his debut as a lead actor in the 20th Century Fox production For Greater Glory (2012). He later transitioned to directing, studying at the New York Film Academy and creating his first short film, Lucendi (2015), which won the Premio Cinema at the Giuseppe Sciacca Awards. His subsequent short, Vortex (2019), received nominations at over 15 international festivals. Kuri is also the founder of the production company Cinestesia and directed Treasure Hunters (2011).
