Matthew Lewis is an English actor who played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter film series. He made his acting debut in Some Kind of Life (1995) and gained widespread recognition for his role in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), continuing with the series until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011). After the franchise, Lewis appeared in The Syndicate and made his theatre debut in Our Boys at the Duchess Theatre in 2012. He starred in The Rise (2012) and had roles in BBC dramas Bluestone 42 and Death in Paradise. Lewis also featured in Me Before You (2016) and Terminal (2018). He has been praised for his performance in the Channel 5 series All Creatures Great and Small.
