Matt McCarthy is an American comedian, actor, writer, and improviser who co-stars as Carl on the CBS series How We Roll. He began his career in stand-up comedy after graduating from Fordham University and has made notable appearances on Conan and CollegeHumor.com. McCarthy has also hosted the We Watch Wrestling Podcast and was a creative writer for WWE during two separate periods. His work includes starring in the Guinness commercial for St. Patrick's Day in 2008 and various sketches for CollegeHumor. McCarthy's film credits include Companion (2025). He was recognized as one of LA Weekly's Comics to Watch in 2014.
