Matthew Broderick is an American actor who won a Tony Award for his role in Brighton Beach Memoirs. He made his film debut in Max Dugan Returns (1983), also written by Neil Simon, and gained prominence with his performance as a young hacker in WarGames (1983). Broderick played the title role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) and has appeared in notable films such as Glory (1989), The Lion King (1994), and Election (1999). In addition to his film work, he has had a successful Broadway career, winning a second Tony Award for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1995). He starred in The Producers (2005).
