Matt Johnson is a Canadian filmmaker who made his feature film directorial debut with The Dirties in 2013. He directed Operation Avalanche in 2016, which premiered at Sundance, and later helmed BlackBerry in 2023, which won multiple Canadian Screen Awards. Johnson co-created the cult comedy series Nirvanna the Band the Show in 2017. As an actor, he appeared in Kazik Radwanska's Anne at 1,300 Feet (2019) and Matt and Mara (2024).
