Masahiro Motoki is a Japanese actor who portrayed Daigo Kobayashi in Departures (2008), a film that won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His performance in this role garnered him the Best Actor award at the 2009 Asia Pacific Screen Awards, the 3rd Asian Film Awards, and the 32nd Japan Academy Prize. Motoki also appeared in Touch (2024).
