Marsha Mason is an American actress and theater director who received four Academy Award nominations for Best Actress. Her notable performances include roles in Cinderella Liberty (1973), The Goodbye Girl (1977), Chapter Two (1979), and Only When I Laugh (1981). Mason also starred in Heartbreak Ridge (1986) and appeared in The Cheap Detective (1978). She was married to playwright Neil Simon from 1973 to 1983, during which time he wrote several films featuring her.
