Marianne Faithfull is an English rock singer and actress who gained fame in the 1960s with her hit single "As Tears Go By." She began her career in 1964 after being discovered at a Rolling Stones party. Her debut album, released in 1965, was a commercial success, leading to several more albums during her time with Decca Records. Faithfull's film career includes notable roles in I'll Never Forget What's'isname (1967), The Girl on a Motorcycle (1968), and Hamlet (1969). She also appeared in Faces in the Crowd (2011). Faithfull had a highly publicized relationship with Mick Jagger from 1966 to 1970.
