Maria Simon is a German actress who won the Best Actress award at the 22nd Moscow International Film Festival in 2000 for her performance in Zornige Küsse. She studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts Ernst Busch in Berlin, graduating in 1999. Simon has appeared in notable films such as A Hidden Life (2019) and received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2003 German Film Awards. She was recognized as a European Shooting Star at the 2004 Berlinale. Additionally, she played Polly in Bertolt Brecht's Dreigroschenoper at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. Simon is the younger sister of actress Susanna Simon.
