Maria Pacôme was a French actress and playwright who made her film debut in Voulez-vous danser avec moi? (1959). She began her stage career in 1956 with La Reine et les Insurgés, and later performed in notable plays such as Oscar (1958) and N'écoutez pas, mesdames! (1962). Pacôme appeared in various films, including The Troops of St. Tropez and Up to His Ears, and took on leading roles in La situation est grave… mais pas désespérée and Les Sous-doués. In addition to acting, she wrote seven plays and published her memoirs, Maria sans Pacôme, in 2007. Her film credits include a role in The Under-Gifted (1980).
