Mari Yamamoto is a Japanese actress and journalist who starred as Hana in the Apple TV+ series Pachinko (2022). After moving to London in 1991 and returning to Tokyo in 1994, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in international relations at the International Christian University. Yamamoto later studied method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City, where she was part of The Bats acting company at The Flea Theater. Her film credits include Kate (2021), and she has worked as a writer and producer on the HBO Max series Tokyo Vice. In 2022, she joined the cast of Apple's Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
