Marcia Gay Harden is an American actress who won an Academy Award for her performance as Lee Krasner in Pollock (2000). She began her career in television during the 1980s, making her film debut in 1986. Harden gained recognition for her roles in notable films such as Miller's Crossing (1990), The First Wives Club (1996), and Mystic River (2003), the latter earning her a second Academy Award nomination. She also appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003) and had a significant role in the medical drama Code Black (2015). In addition to her film work, Harden has received acclaim for her stage performances, winning a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for God of Carnage (2009).
