Manushyaputhiran is a poet and political columnist who made his film debut in Super Deluxe (2019). He began his literary journey in the early 1980s, publishing his first poem at the age of 16. He has written for numerous Tamil magazines, including Ananda Vikatan and Kalki, and his political writings appear in periodicals like Nakeeran and Dinamalar. He advocates for women's liberation and the abolition of the caste system. In addition to his literary work, he is involved with Uyirmmai publication and magazine. He received the Sanskriti National Award in 2002 for his work in Tamil literature.
