Malachy McCourt was an American-Irish actor who appeared in Brewster's Millions (1985). He had a diverse career that included roles in films and soap operas, such as The Molly Maguires and Another World. In addition to acting, McCourt authored three memoirs detailing his experiences in Ireland and the United States. He was also involved in politics, serving as the Green Party candidate for governor of New York in 2006, where he ran against Eliot Spitzer. McCourt was the younger sibling of author Frank McCourt.
