Lydia Kandou is an Indonesian actress who made her feature film debut in "Wanita Segala Zaman" (1979). Over the next five years, she appeared in more than 20 films, earning her first Citra Award nomination for Best Leading Actress at the 1984 Indonesian Film Festival. Kandou won her first Citra Award for her lead role in "Boneka dari Indiana" (1990) and received another win for "Ramadhan dan Ramona" (1991). After a decline in the Indonesian film industry in the early 1990s, she transitioned to television, becoming a regular on "Gara-Gara" in 1993 and later starring in "Pernikahan Dini" (2001) as Shinta. She returned to film in 2004 with roles in "d'Trex" and "Ketika". Kandou appears in "Vina: Before 7 Days" (2024).
