Lucas Hedges is an American actor who had his breakthrough role in Kenneth Lonergan's drama Manchester by the Sea (2016), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He began acting with a supporting part in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom (2012) and later appeared in Lady Bird and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, both released in 2017. In 2018, Hedges starred in Boy Erased, portraying a teenager in a gay conversion therapy program, which garnered him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Drama. He also made his Broadway debut that year in The Waverly Gallery. Hedges starred in a West End theatre production of Brokeback Mountain.
