Loretta Devine is an American actress who won a Primetime Emmy Award for her role as Adele Webber in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy. She gained prominence for her performance as Lorrell Robinson in the original Broadway production of Dreamgirls and portrayed Gloria Matthews in the film Waiting to Exhale. Devine's film credits include First Sunday (2008) and Jumping the Broom (2011). In addition to her acting career, she has also worked as a singer and voice actor.
