LisaGay Hamilton is an American actress who portrayed Rebecca Washington in the legal drama The Practice (1997–2003). Her filmography includes significant roles in 12 Monkeys (1995), Jackie Brown (1997), and The Soloist (2009). She also appeared in the Hulu series Chance (2016) as Suzanne Simms and played Celia Jones in House of Cards (2016). In addition to her screen work, Hamilton has an extensive theater background, being part of the original cast of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. She received a Peabody Award in 2005 for her work on the documentary Beah: A Black Woman Speaks (2003).
