Lindsay Crouse is an American actress who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Places in the Heart (1984). She made her film debut in All the President's Men (1976) and has appeared in notable films such as Slap Shot (1977), The Verdict (1982), and The Insider (1999). Crouse also starred in the 1987 film House of Games, directed by her former husband David Mamet. In addition to her film work, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for an episode of CBS Schoolbreak Special titled Between Mother and Daughter. Crouse was also nominated for a Grammy Award.
