Lin-Manuel Miranda is an American songwriter, actor, singer, filmmaker, rapper, and librettist who made his Broadway debut in 2008 with the musical In the Heights. He created the hit Broadway show Hamilton, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and received a record 16 Tony nominations. Miranda has collaborated frequently with the Walt Disney Company, providing songs for animated films such as Moana and Encanto, and received Oscar nominations for his work on 'How Far I'll Go' and 'Dos Oruguitas'. He directed his first film, Tick, Tick... Boom!, and starred in Vivo, released in 2021. Miranda received the Kennedy Centre Honour in 2018.
