Lilyan Chauvin is a French character actress who appeared as Mother Superior in Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984). Her career began in the 1950s, transitioning from the European stage to film with minor roles. Notable appearances include North to Alaska (1960) alongside John Wayne, Private Benjamin (1980), Predator 2 (1990), and Universal Soldier (1992), where she portrayed Jean-Claude Van Damme's mother. Chauvin was a prolific character actress, featuring in over forty films and numerous television shows throughout her career. She also appeared in Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can (2002) with Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio.
