Leslie Odom Jr. is an American actor and singer who originated the role of Aaron Burr in the Broadway musical Hamilton. He won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2016 for this performance, along with a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Odom Jr. has also appeared in the television series Smash as Sam Strickland and has released two solo jazz albums. His film credits include roles in Murder on the Orient Express (2017), Harriet (2019), The Many Saints of Newark (2021), and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022). He is the author of the book Failing Up, published in 2018.
