Lekha Washington is an Indian actress and product designer who gained prominence for her role as an independent estranged sister in Jayamkondaan (2008). She has appeared in films across multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada. Her career began as a sculptor in 2002, followed by work as a theatre actress in Chennai. Washington also served as a video jockey on SS Music before her film debut. Notable works include the multi-starrer Vedam and the comedy Va, along with her appearance in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola (2013). She has a diverse heritage, with a father of mixed ancestry and a Maharashtrian mother.
