Laura Innes is an American actress and television director who starred as Dr. Kerry Weaver in the NBC medical drama ER from 1995 to 2007. She received three Primetime Emmy nominations for her performance in this role. Innes made her film debut in Brian De Palma's The Fury (1978) and later appeared in the sitcom The Stiller & Meara Show (1986). She also played Sophia in the NBC thriller The Event from 2010 to 2011. Innes has worked on notable projects such as Deep Impact (1998) and Silo (2023).
