Laura Allen is an American actress who made her film debut in the drama 'Mona Lisa Smile' (2003). She was raised on Bainbridge Island, Washington, as the middle child in a family of three sisters. Allen studied Sociology at Wellesley College, graduating in 1996, and initially worked as a domestic violence counselor with the NYPD before transitioning to acting. Her other notable works include appearances in 'The 4400' (2004-2007) and 'The Dead Zone' (2002-2007). Allen is married to Bruce Weyman, and they have two children together.
