Kyle Chandler is an American actor who received a Primetime Emmy Award for his portrayal of Eric Taylor in the series Friday Night Lights (2006–2011). He made his screen debut in the 1988 television film Quiet Victory: The Charlie Wedemeyer Story, and gained prominence with his role in the ABC drama Homefront (1991–1993). Chandler's film credits include significant roles in The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008), Argo (2012), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). He also starred in the Netflix series Bloodline (2015–2017), earning additional Emmy nominations. In 2011, Chandler won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
