Kumail Nanjiani is a Pakistani-American stand-up comedian and actor who co-wrote and starred in the romantic comedy film The Big Sick (2017). He gained recognition for his role as Dinesh in the HBO series Silicon Valley (2014–2019). Nanjiani also portrayed Kingo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals (2021) and appeared in Men in Black: International (2019) and Dolittle (2020). His work in the Hulu miniseries Welcome to Chippendales earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie in 2023. He was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
