Konkona Sen Sharma is an Indian actress who made her film debut as a child in Indira (1983). She gained prominence with her role in the English-language film Mr. and Mrs. Iyer (2002), directed by her mother, Aparna Sen, earning a National Film Award for Best Actress. She starred in Omkara (2006), for which she received a National Award, and Life in a Metro (2007), winning consecutive Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Awards for both performances.
