Kieran Culkin is an American actor who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as a grief-stricken cousin in A Real Pain (2024). He began his acting career as a child in off-Broadway productions and made his film debut alongside his brother, Macaulay, in Home Alone (1990). Culkin gained significant recognition for his performance as a sardonic teenager in Igby Goes Down (2002), earning a Golden Globe nomination. After a six-year hiatus, he returned to the screen in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) as Wallace Wells. His portrayal of Roman Roy in the HBO series Succession (2018–2023) earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Culkin also starred in the Broadway revival of Glengarry Glen Ross (2025).
