Khalid Abdalla is a British-Egyptian actor known for his role as Ziad Jarrah in the film United 93 (2006), which was nominated for an Academy Award and won a BAFTA. He portrayed Amir in The Kite Runner (2007) and appeared alongside Matt Damon in Green Zone (2010), marking his second collaboration with director Paul Greengrass. Abdalla is a founding member of the Mosireen Collective in Cairo, which supports citizen media in Egypt. His early interest in acting was sparked during his time at King's College School, where he directed a successful production at the Edinburgh Festival, becoming the youngest director to earn five stars from The Scotsman.
