Kenichi Matsuyama is a Japanese actor who portrayed L in the Death Note series, including Death Note (2006) and Death Note 2: The Last Name (2006). He gained further recognition for his role as Toru Watanabe in the film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood, released in 2010. In addition to his live-action roles, he voiced Gelus in the animated version of Death Note. Matsuyama also appeared in Buddha 2: The Endless Journey (2014). His diverse performances often showcase his affinity for unconventional characters.
